Broncher E. Hosley was born March 13, 1948 in Spartanburg, SC to Thomascena (Andrew) Gentry Wells and Horace Reid.

She was a member of Fosters Grove Baptist Church where she directed the Drama Ministry, member of church anniversary Committee, Sunday School Teacher, Member of Pastor's Aid Ministry, Member of Vision Choir and a Chairperson Furniture Committee.

Mrs. Hosley was a graduate of Knoxville College where she obtained her Bachelor and Master Degree in English.

Broncher was a proud member of the AKA Sorority.

She was a retired Teacher at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Ann, MD and in many schools in South Carolina. Mrs. Hosley also enjoyed tutoring children after school, during her summer break and after her retirement.

Broncher was preceded in death by: her sister, Shelia Spears "Punkin"; and two brothers, Harvey Anthony Wells and Rev. Charles Wesley Reid.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: four sisters, Priscilla (Wee Wee) Wells, Cynthia (Ponzer) Wells both of Spartanburg, SC, Norma (Rev. Earnest) Hickerson of Cantonment, FL and Vera (Ray) Hailey of Belmont, NC; three brothers, Oscar (Goleen) Reid, Abriel Reid and Forrest Reid of Belmont, NC; two loving goddaughters, Tamilia McClure and Angie Arrington; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of the Life of Broncher E. Hosley will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster Grove Baptist Church, 899 Fosters Grove Rd., Chesnee, SC.
