The funeral services for the late Mr. Grady Ricardo Rainey, who departed this life on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia. Words of Comfort will be given by Reverend Kenneth Murphy. Services may be viewed Facebook Live on the "Shipps Funeral Home" Facebook page.

Mr. Grady Ricardo Rainey was born on October 29, 1971 in Ashburn, Georgia to Mrs. Brenda Banks and Mr. Willie James Rainey.

Grady attended schools in the Turner County Public School System, and graduated from Turner County High School. After graduating from high school, Grady worked in multiple occupations, one being enlisting in the United States Army, but found his passion as an Owner/Operator of a trucking company.

Grady was united in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Doshie Sheree Williams on October 13, 2018.

On Monday, August 30, 2021, after battling a fight with COVID-19, Grady passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. His grandmother, Mrs. Inez Rainey, preceded him in death.

Grady leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Doshie Sheree Rainey; his children, Adijah Rainey, Adarius Rainey, Macaria Rainey, Keon Williams, Danielle Bivens, Demetria King; eight grandchildren; his parents, Willie James (Sherry) Rainey, Brenda (Albert) Banks, both of Ashburn, Georgia; grandmother-Mrs. Willie Mae Stubbs of Ashburn, Georgia; his sisters-Lica (Charles) Coley, Topeka (Jan) Williams, Shonda (C.J.) Martin, Whitney Rainey, Kaja Mobley, Jacquen (Jermaine) Johnson; brothers-Christopher Rainey, Rodney Rainey, Shannon Young; sisters-in-law, Barbara Lundy, Delisa (Kojak) Anderson, Pamela (Gerald) Grier, Lisa (Lee) Dorsey; brothers-in-law, Travis Williams, Rico (Freida) Hunt; a person of admiration- Lameshia Gaskin; two best friends, Mike Pickett, Kevin Studwick; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
