GRAND PRAIRIE - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at True Vine Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, LA, located at 234 True Vine Rd. Washington, LA 70589, for Mrs. Beaulah “Kat” Roberts, 71, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pastor Allen Freeman of True Vine Baptist Church will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Roberts leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Valerie Roberts of Opelousas, LA; daughter in law, Lucinda Sonnier of Opelousas; one brother, Jimmy (Carmen) Jacobs of Gray, LA; one sister, Gloria Roberts of Plaisance, LA; five grandchildren: Ashanti Roberts, Brianna Jones, Shedrick Roberts, Jr, Codorian Jones, and Symone Roberts; two Godchildren, Kevin Tezeno and Penny Jacobs; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Fredrick Roberts; her parents, Edward and Beatrice Jacobs; one son, Shedrick Roberts, Sr.; six brothers, Gervis Jacobs, Murphy Jacobs, Lee Vert Jacobs, Lee Edward Jacobs and Verlin Jacobs; and one sister, Lucy Tezeno.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at True Vine Baptist Church.
