There are so many things that Mrs. Mott spoke with me on as I attended the UpWard Bound Program. These things will stay with me until my last days. Anyone that knew Mrs. Mott was blessed with a woman of great respect and intellect and Tift County would be in a great place today if the youth of Tifton had her as part of their village like I did when I was young. God Bless the Mott Family. Galia P Savage

Mrs. Mott was a great English teacher and a woman of utmost class, dignity and grace. I am confident that I exempted two freshman English classes at UGA because of what she taught me at Tift County High School. I will always remember her and be grateful to her. And, Coach Mott was also a great man of dignity and grace. I likewise will always remember him from my Blue Devil football years. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Greg Sowell TCHS 1976.

I was a Pastor in the Tifton Community between 1984-87. During that time Mrs. Mott blessed my life by sharing her expertise in English that helped me in the development and grammatical structure of my sermons. A lady with a warm persona and also a kind, motherly, creative and teaching spirit. I believe her lamp of knowledge is now shining on others in heavenly places for the sake of God's Kingdom. I am grateful for the two concentrated hours of time she took to share her lamp of knowledge with me. I am also grateful to have worshipped with her in community worship services, and for the lasting friendship I still share with her son, Dr. Alfred Mott. God Bless your Memory Sis. Mott. The Light of your knowledge still shines through the students of your classrooms and from the altar of your tutelage. Rest in your Saviors Joy! Rev. James Avery Alexander Sr. Minister/ Pastor
