Obituary For Hiram Chatman

Funeral service for Hiram Henry Chatman 81, will be Saturday, August 14, at 2 pm at the Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. L.L. Jacobs, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Kelly Springs Church Cemetery. Deacon Chatman passed away on August 10, 2021. Mr. Chatman's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. Deacon Chatman was a member of Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1961 graduate of Ophelia S. Hill. He retired from M&H Valve after 36 years of service. He was a member of the "Faithful Jubilees," gospel group. Survivors include his wife: Flossie Chatman; children: Dexter (Renee) Chatman, Angela (Rodney) Oden, Kimberly Chatman, Chante Chatman and Candace (Antron) Pope, 10 grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Bagley and Mary McCloud; son, Gregory Chatman; grandson, Rodney T. Oden, brother, Greg Chatman.
