The Obituary

Ms. Yolanda LaQuan Peterson was born on August 5, 1975 in Boston, GA to Wanell Hill and Freddie Larry Sr. She attended and graduated from Thomas County Central High School. She worked in the Health Care field as a CNA for many years. She added joy, love, and happiness to the world and in the hearts of everyone.

She passed from this early life on August 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jhada Peterson and a special friend Dereack Walker and some aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family members that are left to mourn in her passing but remember her love are her mother Wanell (James) Hill; her father Freddie ( Sarah) Larry Sr.; Stepfathers Hopeton Williams, Don Peterson; her grandmothers Mamie Larry, Delphine Hill; her brother Freddie Larry Jr.; her sister Lakeshia (Garry) Roberson; her five children Fredreka (Nicholas) Jones, Que Harris, Brianna Peterson, Keyanna Peterson, Madiyah Peterson; her grandchildren Rhy'Mere Jones, and Ja'kensley Collins, Rhi'Yana Peterson, Ni'Launi Jones, Jaiden Peterson ; her best friends / sister Shirwanna Anderson, Mary Weaver, Latesha Taylor, Patricia James; A very special friend Joe Mathis, also a host of special cousins, aunts and uncles and other love ones who will miss her deeply.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 1PM at the Boston Cemetery in Boston, GA. Visitation will be Saturday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 2PM-7PM. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the service.
