Obituary For Leroy Morris, Jr.

Mr. Leroy Morris Jr., 71, was born on Saturday, October 8, 1949 a native of Kinston, NC passed Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at Duke Regional Hospital.

He was a 1972 graduate of NCCU and a retiree of the City of Durham. Leroy was also the owner and operator of Manhattan Cab Co. in Durham for many years. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Richmond Morris, his children Kellie Morris Browning(Elec), and Micah Morris (Janae).

Visitation will be at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home, 2502 NC Hwy 55, Durham, NC on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 5 to 7:00 pm. Graveside service will be held at Beechwood Cemetery, 3300 Fayetteville St, Durham, NC on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 11:00 am.

Masks are to be worn, social distancing required at all meetings, visits and services. All acts of kindness are appreciated. n lieu of flowers, the family asks that you kindly consider supporting one of Leroy's cherished charitable organizations.
