Princess D'Miya Mathes, 10 of Phenix City, AL passed on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Birmingham, AL.

Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST Friday, August 13, 2021 at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Noble D. Williams, officiating. Interment to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation is Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 12- 5 p.m. EST

D’Miya’s journey began on December 7, 2010 in Columbus, Georgia. She was affectionately known by her family and friends as “Baby” or “MiyaPooh”.

She attended church at Greater Mount Zion. She was intelligent and excelled as an honor student at Ridgecrest Elementary School. She enjoyed making TikTok videos.

She loved her family with whom she created many memories to be cherished as she was the sweet, loving daughter of her parents, Darrell and Kimberly Mathes; the energetic, playful sister of Erin Thomas, Jakaila Mathes and Derrien Mathes; the respectful, caring granddaughter of Joe C. and Pamela Mathes, Phyllis Sanders and David Sanders; the precious niece of Lakesia Mathes, Jonathan Mathes and Gertheia (Antwain) Gales. Her sweet memories will also be cherished by Great-Grandparents, Willie Forte, Minnie Pearle Day Mathes and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
