Dwayne Tyrone Patterson departed this life on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on November 18, 1991 to Dorrian Murray Patterson and Tonnie Patterson, Sr in Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Celie Murray. He received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County and was a 2009 graduate of C.E. Murray High School. Dwayne was a member of the Varsity Football Team and was a cadet in the JROTC program.

At an early age, Dwayne accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and joined Wilson United Methodist Church. He was the drummer for the church and was also a drummer for the Faithful Stars Quartet Group playing beautiful uplifting songs of Zion. His favorite song was, “Let it Rain” by Bishop Paul Morton.

Dwayne was a loving father, son, and brother to many. He loved singing, playing his drums, playing football, and making others laugh. His love was shown not only to his family, but to everyone he came in contact with. He had a great sense of humor, sharing many jokes, songs, and dances with his family and friends.

He will forever be loved and cherished by his mother, Dorrian Murray Patterson of Greeleyville, SC, his father: Tonnie (Abelaide) Patterson, Sr. of Capital Heights, MD; his daughter, Sharnese Patterson of Dalzell, SC; two brothers: Tonnie (Kristen) Patterson, Jr. of Baltimore, MD and Trevor Barley of Capital Heights, MD; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Jones of Manhattan, NY; god-son, Jermaine Williams Jr. of Jonesboro, GA; godbrother Cedric Joe of Greeleyville, SC; nieces: Dorrian Drumgold of Waldof, MD and Jordyn Patterson of Baltimore, MD, Nephews: Tonnie Patterson, III of Waldof, MD and Kaleb Patterson of Baltimore, MD; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Patterson were held be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 North Church St. Manning, SC. Rev. Dr. Fred Moore, Jr., officiated; Margerite S. Joe, presided. Burial followed in the Big Spring Cemetery, Greeleyville, SC
