Frank was truly a gifted spirit. I had my most interaction with him through the Orangeburg Part Time Players. He never failed to lend us equipment and his students to help our productions be a success. The Orangeburg community will definitely miss his presence. Jacqueline Speight

I was hurt to find out Mr. Mundy had passed. Oh, how I enjoyed your humor, and respected your knowledge and craft. I am at a loss for words because what I come up with will not be sufficient. I miss you and love you. Rest in peace...what a wonderful legacy!

Mr. Mundy was a teacher, and a friend. He was always welcoming to my mom and dad when they were in town, his home was always open if you needed a listening ear or a hot meal. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Mundy meant so much to so many. I don't think there is enough celebrations and tributes that can be done to show how much he impacted all of us. I know your soul has moved on, but your memories stay with us here, in this realm, for the rest of our lives. Thank you for all the "talks", discussions, debates, and encouragement. Thank you for your advice (regardless if I took it right away or not)and witty jokes. Since you know how much I care about the earth, I will opt for planting a tree in your honor. RIP Thurayya UmB...

Karyn Amos Johnson Moss (I forgot to put my name on the memories that I wrote. Frank would say "that's Karyn for you - forgetful and probably late, too!" Then he'd laugh that laugh of his.)

Frank Mundy was a beautiful soul with a love of people and a giving spirit. He was not only a gifted teacher but a passionate visionary who conceived a progessive path for the future of the Theatre Department at SC State University propelled it and the students involved forward. He loved theatre and he loved "his kids." He was not alive providing logging for those who needed a place to stay, food to those needing regular meals, and a compassionate ear and words of wisdom to those seeking counsel. Frank and I met in 1976 at USC. It was my freshman year and he was in grad school. We were both cast in the play HAIR. He was one of the first people there to reach out and make me, the youngest in the cast, feel accepted and convinced that I belonged there. He was "my brother." After Frank became the Director at the Henderson-Davis Theater, Frank thought nothing of holding my son while he directed the play he'd cast me in. He changed the diapers of my son and corrected us on stage without missing a beat. You were an extraordinary human being, My Brother, and I will miss you. I love you and pray God's blessings on you.
