He departed this earthly life for his Heavenly Home March 20, 2020, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital-Richmond, surrounded by his wife of 36 years, children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Horace confessed Christ at an early age and worshipped at Flat Rock A.M.E. Zion Church and New Jerusalem Church, before joining Parsons Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lilesville. Labor Day, September 5, 1993, he married the love of his life-Madie Hudson Huntley and to this union three children were born. Horace was known as Chicken Man, Double H (H.H.), daddy, papa, and a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a 1979 graduate of Bowman High School, a member of the varsity basketball team, and drove a school bus for his classmates during his Senior year of high school. He received additional training in auto mechanics and trucking. Horace could fix and tow anything. After high school, he worked at John Faulkner Motors as a mechanic. After 20 years of service to Tyson Foods Trucking, he spent his last years in trucking with Edwards Wood Products before obeying his body and retiring. He was preceded in death by his Father-Horace Huntley, Sr., Granddaughter-Mahogany Breél, Sister-Lora Ann Bittle, and Brother-in-law-Earl Bridges.
