Obituary For Mr. Henry Neal Richardson

Henry Neal Richardson (Hank) was born on December 29th,1935, in Marion, Virginia, to Stuart and Cragere Richardson.

Upon graduation from Gary District High School, he joined the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he moved to Great Neck, New York, where he joined the LIRR Police Department in 1967. During his tenure with the LIRR, he was selected to attend and graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He retired in 1992 with the rank of Deputy Chief of Police. He and his late wife, Georgia, relocated to Rome, Georgia. Hank was active in the Rome community, was a member of the 100 Black Men of Rome, and served as the 2nd elected president. He was also a major fan of the Rome High Wolves Football and boys and girls Basketball programs and was in attendance at as many games as possible.

Henry Neal Richardson was united in holy matrimony to the late Georgia Ella Fielder Richardson on September 10th, 1966, and through this union, a daughter was born, Yvette Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Richardson; parents Stuart and Cragere Richardson; grandson Darian Neal Richardson; brother Richard Jonathan Richardson Sr; sisters Patricia, Dorcas Richardson; nephew Charles Michael Richardson and niece Natalie Swanson.

Henry Neal Richardson transitioned from this life on Saturday, May 29th, 2021. He leaves to cherish fond memories, a daughter Yvette (Kenric King) Richardson of Rome, Georgia; bonus son Randy (Curlene) Robinson of Rome Georgia; four grandchildren Cameron Richardson; Roderic King; Marissa Robinson; Alicia Morgan; two great-granddaughters Kamyrn, Riya; two great-grandsons Kayson, Daxton; special nephew Barry (Lesley) Fielder and a host of nephews, nieces, and close friends

Mr. Henry Neal Richardson, age 85, of Rome transitioned May 29, 2021. Homegoing service for Mr. Richardson will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at New Life of St. John. Please keep the family lifted in prayer.

*Public viewing will be Monday, June 7, 2021 from 10 am until 6 pm at the Funeral Home and 12 noon June 8, 2021 prior to the Service at the Church.

My deepest condolences to the Richardson Family. I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Richardson because he made it no secret that he enjoyed watching my son, Myron J.
