Obituary For Martha Louise Harper

Miss Martha Louise Harper was born on sept 28, 1942 to the late George and Martha C. Hopper. She departed her Life on May 22, 2021 at Mt. Sinai Morningside Hospital New York, NY. At an early age she moved to New York City where she resided for over 50 years.

She was a member of Second Friendship Baptist Church in New York, NY where she served on the Usher Board and Missionary Board. She worked at the Boys Harbor Day Care for many years until she retired.

Louise was a loving mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Sister in law and friends to many who knew her. Her life was centered on her Children and grandchildren whom she loved so very much. She will greatly be missed and remembered by her children, Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and her other family members and her close and dear friend: Mary B. Holmes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Holland, Sally Glenn, four brothers: Wilson Harper, George Harper, JR. Harper and A.C. Harper. She leaves to cherish fond memories to her children: Donna Linzy, New York, NY, Rosalind Harper, Gastonia, NC and Gerald Harper, New York, NY; her grandchildren: Latoya Monroe and Antonio Monroe of Gastonia, NC, Danielle Linzy, Ebony Linzy and Quinton Linzy of New York, NY; eleven Great Grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her six siblings: Hazelene Barber, Ruth Love, Esther Miller, Fannie Nixon and Mary Ann Gillian all of Gastonia, NC, Patrice Mason (Bobby) of Southern Pines, NC and brother-in-law: Lonnie Glenn of Gastonia, NC and a host of other family and friends.

Viewing at the funeral home on Saturday; May 29, 2021 from 5 until 8

Graveside service on Sunday; May 30, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.; RoseHill Cemetery, Gastonia
