Paulette was born on December 3, 1942 to William Lloyd and Bernice (Owens) Webster and was the oldest to her brother William Jr. Paulette was raised in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA and educated in Pittsburgh Public Schools. Upon her graduation, she attended medical transcription/medical coding school. Paulette became a member of Carrone Baptist Church and sang in the junior choir. She was a girl scout and joined the Kinsley House Association where she learned how to sew and design clothes. Paulette’s other interests included reading fiction, nonfiction and cultural studies. In October 1961, Paulette married John Carter and from this union two children, Kristin and Keith were born. Later in life, the widowed, Paulette was blessed with two grandchildren Kristina and Kaylin. Over the years, Paulette was employed as a medical transcriptionist by Blue Cross, Presbyterian Hospital, Washington Hospital Center and the Veteran’s Hospital in Washington DC. In her spare time, Paulette enjoyed attending art museums, art shows, outdoor concerts and many other outdoor activities. Paulette passed away on May 14, 2021 in her sleep. We will miss our loving, supportive mother, grandmother and friend.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 29th here at the funeral home.
Visitation: 12 noon
Funeral: 1 p.m.
Persons entering must wear masks and sanitize their hands upon entrance.
