“TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE UNDER HEAVEN.” ECCLESIASTES 3:1
“A TIME TO BE BORN” ECCLESIASTES 3:2
JACQUELINE H. WILSON COFIELD, known to family and friends as “MISS JACKIE” and “GRANNY”, was born in the Harlem District of New York City, New York. She was the daughter of the late Henry Wilson and her beautiful mother, the late Betty Jane Christie Wilson.
She received her formal education in New York City’s Public Schools and was a medal winner track star before moving to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to join her Granny and family with dreams of styling hair and having a family. Jackie’s role as a beautician was her passion and being a wife and mother was her dream. Her family and having children was extremely important to her.
In 1966, she married the love of her life, David Earl Cofield, Jr. and their union was blessed with three amazing children; a daughter and two sons.
Jackie loved the Lord and has lived as a beautiful woman of God for many years. Sister Cofield was an active member of the Temple of New Beginnings since 1997. She was active in many auxiliaries of the church and chose not to have a title, but to cover and support the ministry and be an example of kingdom beliefs in her living for the Lord.
Her message to everyone is to... “LIVE PAST YOUR PAIN SO YOU CAN LIVE YOUR DREAMS!”

To everyone in the Cofield family, sincere condolances from me and my husband. Jackie and Dave lived on the other side of our duplex home on 20th Street for many years. They were wonderful neighbors, and we were very fond of them. I shared many lovely afternoon chats with Ms Jackie, sitting on the wall between our two porches. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. - Julie Moffitt and Eric Doerfler.
