Obituary For Jamion R. Sims

Jamion Rashad Sims of Blytheville was born February 26, 1995 in Blytheville, Arkansas to James R. Sims, Jr., and Sequita Fowler. Jamion attended school in Blytheville and was employed by Pierce Lawn Care Service. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of First Baptist Church Dell under the leadership of his grandfather Bishop James R. Sims, Sr. Jamion enjoyed basketball; the Los Angles Lakers was his favorite team, but most of all Jamion was a family oriented young man, spending time with his daughters especially important to him.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Addie and Earnest Fowler, Jamion passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Great River Medical Center at the age of 26.

Jamion leaves to forever cherish his memories two daughters, Ja’Kaylah Baker of Luxora, Arkansas, and McKenzie Sims of Blytheville, Arkansas; his parents James (Jeana Marie “Kay”) Sims, Jr. and Sequita (Richard) Carpenter all of Blytheville, Arkansas; one brother Marquail Webb of Blytheville, Arkansas; two sisters Jada Sims and Tyneshia Williams also of Blytheville, Arkansas; his loving companion Shawnequa Smith of Blytheville, Arkansas; his grandparents Bishop James R. and Dr. Julia Sims of Blytheville, Arkansas and Cornelious Lee and JoAnn Fowler also of Blytheville, Arkansas and a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday April 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Odale Jones is the pastor.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Reverend Frederick Clay, Sr. will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
