On Sunday, February 28, 2021, Reba Moor was promoted to glory peacefully at home in Lantana, TX at the age of 86 years.

An outdoor service will be held at 9:30 am on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021 at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg, TX. As requested by Reba, Pastor Stewart Holloway of First Baptist Church in Pineville, LA will be officiating her graveside service. A celebration of Reba’s life will be held at a later date.

Reba was born on August 20, 1934 in McCool, Mississippi to William and Maudie Simmons. On February 15, 1955, Reba married G.C. Moor, Jr. and moved to Texas where they raised their two children, Karen and Joey. She loved her family above all else and made an impression wherever she went. Along the way, she owned a clothing store in La Marque, TX and a restaurant in Little Elm, TX. Later, she was a medical office manager for her son-in-law for 12 years before retired at the age of 72.

Reba, also lovingly known as Bebo or Ninny, never met a stranger. She loved people and the feeling was mutual. They would pour out their hearts to her upon their first meeting. She was fiercely loyal to her family, always fun to be around, and not afraid to voice her opinion. Some of her favourite pastimes were quilting, fishing, gardening and cooking for anyone who walked through her doorway. She was known for her fiery spirit, but also revealed her gentle side as she loved all the children she encountered throughout her life. She left a legacy of faith in God and she could always be counted on to pray for her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband G.C. Moor, Jr. and siblings Grady Simmons, Perry Simmons, Olivia Myers, Marie Long, Nell Eubanks, Mamie Ballard, Sal Stevenson and Danny Simmons. Reba will be forever remembered by daughter Karen Thomas and her husband T.J., son Joey Moor and wife Nancy, grandchildren Danny Smith and wife Lena, Amanda Bennett and husband David, Kristin Palmer and husband Brad, David Moor and wife Denay, and eight precious great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and the Thomas extended family that loved her.
