Aunt Hazel was the eldest sibling of my father Charles A. Jackson, Sr. who was the first of her siblings to pass. He passed 11/14/1970, on my mother's birthday, at the age of 35. She was sweet, loving, and patient, yet she was straightforward. We would talk as I would drive home from work. She was in Atlanta and I was headed to Selma, AL or Montgomery, AL. She told me stories about our family. She answered any questions I had and loved me and all the rest of her nieces and nephews. She out lived her three younger brothers. I would stay with her when I would come to town. Her mind stayed sharpe!!! Will miss your spark and fire for life. Rest until Jesus returns to get all his children who were taken in death. 💔💔💕💕Your niece, Anita Jackson-Norman💜💜

Ms. Hazel was like a grandma to me and I think I was a daughter to her. Thanks for always baking me sweet potato pies and looking out for me when we were neighbors. Some of the best memories of nearly 20 yrs. LOVE U

The village as a family, Aunt Hazel was truly family, by way of Jennie Davis. It has been a wonderful life experience. The girlfriend, the sassy comments with a glass of wine, the ladylike presentation, the fun birthday outings, your charming smile, will be missed. A toast to the life of Hazel Hall Brown. Your paradise awaits!!! Love you. Angela

When I think about Hazel, this scripture comes to mind Matt 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. I had the pleasure of servicing with Hazel on the trustee ministry, finance ministry, Sunday School Dept. and several other committees. To the family, you have our deepest sympathy. I have known Cousin Hazel my entire life and she has been an inspiration and loving person to me and my daughters. From growing up in Mt Moriah, visiting her in her home especially in the earlier years with Cousin Ossie and attending events together has been heartfelt. Cherished memories of the after church family dinners, holiday dinners and family reunions she was always there with a kind gentle spirit and smile on her face. Will miss our calls with laughter and holidays cards exchanges. It was a blessing to have had her apart of my life for so many years. Rest in Heaven Cousin until we meet again. Love you always. -Valerie, Brittney and Kacey

I was director of the Gospel Chorus at Mount Moriah and Hazel was a devoted member of the choir. She had a lovely soprano voice and was always pleasant and supportive. May God bless you during this time. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Be blessed.
