Mrs. Zaneta Delphine Vinson, 47, of Shelby, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby. She was born on October 27, 1973 in Cleveland County, NC to Henry Eli Vinson and Linda Poston Vinson.

Zaneta was a very thoughtful person who enjoyed gathering her family up for get togethers. She also enjoyed listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John Daniel Poston and Edna Poston and paternal grandparents, Robert Turner Vinson, Sr. and Sammie Lou Vinson.

Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Bernard Ross; her sons, Arsante Williams, A’keem Vinson, Artavius Vinson, Aleik Maddox, Avius Cross, Melvin Ponder and Alexander Cross; her daughters, Alexsis Vinson, Zaniya Vinson, Ziyana Vinson and Za’mariya Vinson; her brothers, Henry Vinson, Jr., (Sheilitha) and Timothy Vinson (Jennifer); sister, Tamara Vinson; two grandchildren, Elijah London and Harlem Miller; special cousin, Kelvin Vinson and a host of step-children, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Vinson will be private. She can be viewed at Lawndale First Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 5, 2021. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place at Jones Tabernacle C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Lawndale, NC.
