Celebration of Life Services for Ms. Marjorie Lynette Beckford-Brooks, of Decatur, will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021, 3:00 P.M. at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary. Elder Tony Wilson, Officiating, Elder Reginald Finley, Eulogist. All Day Viewing will be held Friday, February 5, 2021, at the mortuary.

-A TIME TO BE BORN-

Marjorie Lynette Beckford-Brooks, was born on July 5, 1958, to Hazell Williams (deceased) and Clara Williams, of Haines City, Florida.

-A TIME TO LIVE-

Marjorie’s family later moved to Miami, Florida, where she attended Gladeview Elementary, Charles Drew Middle School, and Northwestern Senior High School, graduating in 1976. In 11th grade, Marjorie began her career at Southern Bell, later known as AT&T, where she worked faithfully in various positions through promotion until her health failed in early 2005.

-A TIME TO SERVE-

Marjorie was baptized at an early age and attended New Bethel Baptist Church serving under the leadership of Rev. Earnest Williams. She later joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Miami, Florida under the leadership of Bishop Randall E. Holts, and Prophetess Sharlene D. Holts. Upon matriculation to Atlanta, Georgia, Marjorie joined New Birth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Eddie L. Long. She served faithfully in the Media-Bookstore and Christian Shelter Ministries.

-FROM TIME TO ETERNITY-

Marjorie was proceeded in death by several dear family members including but not limited to: Her dad, Hazell Williams; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her brother Derrick Williams; and her step-father, George Edgecombe. Because of her illness, Marjorie was in and out of the hospital, and on January 30, 2021, she quietly passed from time into eternity. Left to cherish Ms. Marjorie's memories are, her mom, Clara Williams-Edgecombe; children, Charlene Monique Black, Charles Black, Jr.; brother, Ollie Caison; uncles, Robert Temple, Henry Caison, Norman Caison; aunts, Dr. Annie L. Temple, Annie C. Temple, Mary Humphrey; 7 grand-children, Nicole, Jasman, Michael, Isaiah, Daniel, Charles, Trey; 1 niece, Arlene Curtis (Moses); grandniece, Angel Caison; 1 nephew, Ollie Caison, Jr.; Devoted helpers, Tiffany Edgecombe, Laura Hamilton, Marva Smith, Vernita & Felicia Mckisick; and a host of other relatives and friends.
