Kimberly Sanders

Kimberly Denette Cline Sanders was born to Reverend Lee Thomas Cline and the late Reverend Yvonnie Davis Cline on October 31, 1959 in Newton, NC. She joined Zion Hill Baptist Church at a young age. Kimberly was an active member there and she taught Sunday School. In addition, her service at Zion Hill included being a member of the usher board, missionary society, choir and she was crowned Miss Zion Hill. Kimberly later joined the churches where her father pastored.

Kimberly graduated from Cherryville High School. Upon graduating, she attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Kimberly majored in Early Childhood Education and received a BA Degree in Education. While at Livingstone, she was a member of Varick Christian Endeavour, President of the Missionary Society, a member of the student government, Julian B. Duncan Player, Peer Counselor, Miss Dancy Hall, Miss Tucker Hall, and Miss Black History. After graduating from Livingstone College, she pursued her career in education and worked for Gaston County Schools, New Life Baptist Academy, Lincoln Christian Academy and Lincoln Park Headstart. Kimberly enjoyed working with children and she especially loved watching them laugh and learn.

Kimberly loved her husband, who was truly devoted to her, and she would always say, “I have the best hubby in the world”. She called her daughter, Ashlee, her “Princess, her gift from God”. Kimberly enjoyed spending time with her family laughing and picking on each other.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her brothers, Brenard Cline, Bobby Cline and her mother Rev. Yvonnie Davis Cline. Kimberly leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Ronnie, daughter Ashlee, her father, Rev. Lee Thomas Cline (Sonja), her brothers, Rev. Mikle A. Cline (Marry Rose), Rev. Terry L. Cline (Tezella), and her sister, Tracey E. Cline (Tony), and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, and cousins.

PUBLIC VIEWING will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M.
