Obituary For Willie Glenzie Smith

Graveside service for Willie Smith, 91, of Auburn, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2255 Wrights Mill Road, Auburn, AL 36830, Reverend Bernard Anderson will officiate.

Mr. Smith, who passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born February 6, 1929 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing for Mr. Smith Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Survivors include: two sons, Harold (Bernice) Smith and Gregory Smith both of Decatur, GA; a grandson, Tobias Smith of Decatur, GA; two granddaughters, Terroy Anne Harris and Tajuana Jones both of Decatur, GA; one great-grandson, Torian Smith of Decatur, GA; special nieces as daughter, Juanita Williams and Virginia Finley both of Auburn, AL; three special nephews as sons, Kenneth (Annie) Black, Melmer Smith, Jr. and Calvin (Elizabeth) Smith all of Auburn, AL; god-daughter, Ashlee (Magnus) Baker and their daughter Ryleigh Baker of Fairburn, GA; two special friends, Patsy Goodloe and Andrew Berry both of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings when around people outside of their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
