Richard Kimberlin Allen, Sr. was born to the late George Oliver, Sr. And Susie Mae Allen on August 5, 1964 in Belle Glade, FL. Richard graduated from Glades Central Community High to the mighty class of 1982. As his career began, he devoted his life to the City of Belle Glade as a Meter Reader and worked his way up to being a Field Service Manager for over 2 decades. Upon his retirement from the City, Richard spent time rehabilitating his beloved mother back to good health before she gained her own set of wings. Richard knew then that his passion to help others was beyond simple. In 2015, he started a new journey in the field of mental health and substance abuse. Richard believed every person, regardless of their disability, race, ethnicity, gender, age, economic status, or sexual orientation, has the right and responsibilities to their full potential in our society, the right to be treated with compassion, respect and dignity, free from stigma and prejudice. The simplest things in life brought great joy to Richard. He loved to inspire others to be their authentic selves to telling you where you fell short at only to build you back up. Richard found comfort in escaping our society in his drawings and poetry of his untold gifts. He had the ability to find happiness in every situation. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone one he met. He was well-known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Richard was preceded in death by his father, George Oliver, Sr. and mother, Susie Mae Allen; stepfather: David Lee Patrick; sisters: Tina Marie Vickers and Angel Patrick; special brothers: Rickey, David and Charles Patrick; auntie: Mildred Reed; great-aunt: Corrie Lee Jenkins. He is survived by his two children; Richelle K. Allen (Debbie Martin) and Richard K. Allen, Jr. (Monique Hodges); 7 siblings; Michael Oliver, Sabrina Bailey (Johnny), Anthony Oliver, Sheth Allen (Angelina), Thelma Allen, Georgie Oliver Jr. (Angeline) and Vernett Richardson; host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Richard will also be remembered by the Jenkins, Monroe, Thompson and Jackson family.

They say there is a reason, They say that time will heal, but neither time nor reason, Will change the way we feel for no one knows the heartache, that lies behind our smiles, No one knows how many times we have broken down and cried, We want to tell you something, So there won't be any doubt, You're so wonderful to think of "BUT SO HARD TO BE WITHOUT" --The Jackson's
