Obituary For William A. "Bill" Mallett

William A. "Bill" Mallett, 76, husband of Ruth Young Mallett, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was born October 30, 1944 in Augusta, GA, a son of the late Albert Mallett and Catherine Perkins Mallett. He was preceded in death by his brther, Ambrose (Rama) Mallett and his son-in-law, Holmes N. Smith, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy of love his wife, Ruth V. Young Mallett; three children: Kevin Mallett, Veronica D. Mallett and Tonia Mallett Smith; a sister, Ida B. Mallett McCullough; Erica D. Mallett who he loved as a daughter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert (Mary) Young, Lee Ernest Young, Levy Young and Catherine Young; grandchildren: Dahlia (Dontavis) Miller, Holmes N. "Smitty" Smith, III, Jordan D. Blanding, Eboni Mallett, Daislyn Mallett, Joshua Smith, Isaac Smith and Jaden Smith; great grandson, Malachi Miller; special cousins whom he loved as siblings: Michelle Perkins Vaughan, Kathy Plowden, Marsha Miller, Fredric and Cedric Mallett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Mallett will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Providence AME Church Cemetery, 2524 Mallett Rd., Manning, SC.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Providence AME Church Sunday School Department in Memory of William A. Mallett. Donations can be sent to Providence AME Church, P. O. Box 296, Manning, SC 29102.

Due to COVID-19, the family is not receiving visitors.
