Morris A. Hairston, 51, of Martinsville, VA, departed this life on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Martinsville, VA, on March 15, 1969, the son of the late Morris Hairston and the late Betty Jean Gravely Hairston.
He was employed at Gildan Activewear Distribution Services, Eden, NC. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School, class of 1989.
Morris leaves to cherish his memory, his girlfriend, Tina K. Terry of Martinsville, VA; two sisters, Crystal N. Hairston, and Latasha S. Hairston both of Eden, NC; one brother, Gary W. Hairston of Martinsville, VA; devoted friend, Aretha A. Ellis of Martinsville, VA; seven nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 12 p.m. at Carver Memorial Gardens with Elder Alan Preston, Eulogist. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. In accordance with the CDC, a face covering and social distancing will be required. Other times, the family will be receiving friends at the home 7 Snowy Lane, Martinsville, VA, and at the home of his sister, Crystal Hairston, 704 Irvin Ave., Eden, NC.
