Inga Charo Kearney was born to the union of Charles Kearney and Pamela A. Hawkins Kearney on February 4, 1970 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
She is predeceased by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents. Inga was given the nickname "Angel" by her Bonus grandmother Minnie at birth. The nickname remained with her throughout adulthood.
At an early age Inga's life was dedicated to Christ. She began her spiritual and educational journey in the Catholic Church and schools.
She was a graduate of West Charlotte Senior High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduating high school she served in the United States Coast Guard. While enlisted in the Coast Guard, Inga earned the following Campaign Ribbons: Coast Guard Marksman Ribbon and Coast Guard Sharpshooter Pistol Ribbon. Upon completion of her military duties with an honorable discharge, she attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia.
Inga developed an interest in Technology. She became certified and gainfully employed in the field of Technical Support. Her most recent employer was XPO Logistics, where she worked proudly with her coworkers as a team member of Support Personnel.
Not only was Inga a diligent employee, but she played as hard as she worked. She was low key while participating in games and sports swimming and soccer Inga was a fierce competitor…. she played to win!! She was a contributing member of a championship bowling league.
Inga also enjoyed Top Golf and her beloved Washington Redskins. She was an avid reader and served as President of the Wall Family Reunion. Inga was the embodiment of love, joy and care for others. Her laughter was infectious.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers Joshua X. Hawkins of Charlotte, NC, Jimmy Mayworm, Sister, Shauntea Kearney King and Bonus mom Doris Kearney all of Staunton, Virginia, and the heartbeats of her life her two nephews, Jaelin and Xavier of Charlotte, NC. Two aunts, V. Diane Carlton (Beryl) and Terry H. Howard (Thomas) all of Charlotte, NC and a host of loving cousins and friends. Until we see you again sweet "Angel", Inga Charo Kearney may you rest in eternal peace.
