Mr. Jacob Alexander Parsons Jr., 82, entered into his eternal life of Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at WFBH High Point Medical Center. He was born in Wadesboro, NC to the late Jacob Alexander Parsons, Sr. and Glennie Rorie Parsons. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Horace Ingram, Richard Lee and Mozell Parsons, one sister, Mary Effie.

Jacob graduated from Henry Grove High School and Bible Study Fellowship. He was employed at Gilbarco, Inc. for over 34 years, where he retired and became an entrepreneur.

On December 25, 1960 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Evelyn Gaddy his loving and devoted wife, who survives of the home; two daughters, Sylaine (Tony) Hood of Charlotte, NC and Sherell (James) McLendon of High Point, NC; four brothers, Roosevelt (Wilhelmenia) of New Haven, CT, Eugene (Diana) of Laurel, MD, Melvin Maxwell and Jackie Maxwell both of Wadesboro, NC; five sisters, Cora Harris of Charlotte, NC, Ethel Durham of Shelby, NC, Khristina (James) Mobley of Rock Hill, SC, Glennie (Glen) B. Holland of Charlotte, NC and Audrey Maxwell of Wadesboro, NC; four grandchildren; Desiree' and Tony (Alexia) Hood, II and Jasmine and Brandon McLendon; one great-grandchild, Ja'Rayah McLendon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A private funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. Mr. Parsons may be viewed on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
