Wilbert Morgan was born in Pritchard, Mississippi, on October 17, 1936, to the late Della Morgan. He graduated high school from Tunica Institute of Learning and was last employed by Malone & Hyde, where he worked for many years until his health began to fail. He was a member of Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church in Pritchard, Mississippi, and later joined New Macedonia, where he served as a faithful member and deacon. Wilbert Morgan leaves to cherish his memory his three daughters, Lynda Conley, Sandra Marshall, and Audra Oigbokie (Peter); and two sons, Ricky Franklin (Reshedia) and Matthew Goodman. He also leaves Letha Cooper and Ahmad Walton; they were raised with him as siblings. He leaves his grandchildren, one of whom carries the torch of the favorite, his “Number 1” grandson, Terrence Franklin (Seletha); his first-born granddaughter, Keesha Franklin, along with LaTravis Conley, Brandon Conley, Adrienne Marshall, Brittney Marshall, Patrick Franklin, Gabrielle Arnold, Hansel Moore, Isaiah Moore, Jordan Moore, Devonta Franklin, Michael Franklin, Audra Franklin, Damon Benson, Devin Watson, Angela Franklin and Teresa Franklin; and his life-long special friend, Leola Prewitt. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Morgan; his daughter, Mona Franklin; his son, Michael Franklin; grandsons, Jerime Franklin and Quallan Franklin; and his great-grandsons, Brian Franklin, and Patrick Franklin, Jr.

A public viewing is scheduled for November 27, 2020 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at R. S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove Rd. Graveside service will be Monday November 30, 2020 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Southwoods, 5485 Hacks Cross Rd.
