I am overwhelmed with sadness that my Uncle has passed. He was more like a second Dad not a Uncle. I have always looked forward to our visits and conversations. I do not have many people in my life who champion me, who makes me feel special and loved. From a little girl up into adulthood he has always made me feel like we had a special relationship. I can still hear him now "Nish Nish don't need no switch switch". Only close special family knows what that means. I have so many cherish memories and videos of him. I am Truly going to miss this man!! To my Dear Aunt Mabel and my cousins, my heart goes out to you during this time. Love Always, Nish

My uncle Herbert has a 'ton' of nieces & nephews and & in my view showed personal interest in all of us...assigning us 'pet' names from childhood & continuing referring to you by that name as an adult...I was Beveann . He would always point out something unique about you...remembering something specific you accomplished years earlier, bringing up a certain job you worked at one time, etc. He was a walking Family encyclopedia. Miss him already.

My favorite uncle, words cannot express my feelings today. He was like a second Dad not a Uncle, as he and my Dad were like two peas in a pod. I'm going to miss that voice, him always calling me "Pretty Tonya!" Seeing him in his favorite chair and listening to his stories and the wisdom he imparted on any given day, and eating my dear Aunt's delicious meals......
