Billy Dwayne Scott, 85 of Forestburg, TX went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2020. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24th, at the Forestburg Baptist Church. Billy was born August 2, 1935 in the Freemound Community of Cooke County, TX. He graduated from Forestburg High School in 1954. Billy worked for General Motors and retired in 1985, with 30 years of service. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Forestburg Lodge #523 for 61 years. Billy enjoyed farming for Steadham Cattle Co. He liked riding a tractor and tinkering and rebuilding tractors. Billy always had a good story and a joke to tell. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Scott, son Charles Scott, brother Gean Scott, and two great-grandsons Truman and Talon Scott. Billy is survived by his daughter Paula Craig and husband Larry; grandchildren Dustin Craig and wife Kara, Lacey Rich and husband Olan, and Tim Scott and wife Tiffany, all of Forestburg; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Mattie Perryman of Dallas, TX and Wanda “Hoot” Tezak and husband Jim of Montague, TX; brother Grady “Hop” Scott and wife Jackie of Alvord, TX; and longtime friend Cissy Barclay and family. Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.

Sending Heartfelt Prayers to the Scott Family. So Sorry for ur loss. We have known ur Sweet Family, over 50 years. Forestburg Family's were close knit & everyone knew each other & the Kids went to School together. All were Involved in the Community Happenings. Bill was a Super Guy. Always willing to help People. Always telling Funny things. Everyone loved Bill. He will be Greatly missed by all. May God Lift U up, Comfort & Ease ur Pain & Stress.
