Obituary For Russell Reid

BELOVED FATHER and GRANDFATHER

Mr. Russell Reid was born April 4, 1944 in Greensboro, Georgia to the late Fisher Lee and Easter Mae Reid. Russell was called home on October 29, 2020.

He accepted Christ at an early age, where he served as a faithful Deacon and Choir member at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Russell also started his own Pulpwood business and he was an exceptional gardener until his health failed him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Roosevelt, Jimmy and Melvin, one sister Daisy and one granddaughter Demeshia Ann Reid.

He leaves to cherish his devoted wife of fifty-one years Mrs. Dorothy Reid; three children: Pamela Reid (Raymond), Willie Reid, and Erica Bailey (Charles); four grandchildren: Quenterrell Briscoe, Sr. (Kendra), MeJandrio Reid, JaMarcus Reid and Charnique Bailey; three great grandchildren: Quenterrell Briscoe, Jr., Kenyen Briscoe and Arianna Cosme. Three sisters: Mary Poter, Mae Lue Chester, Lucy Porter; one brother: John Reid; sisters-n-law: Sarah, Maggie, Lillian and Peggy; one brother-n-law: L. B.; two people that are more like a brother: Franklin Miller and Curtis Miller; two special friends Ricky Lumpkin and Randolph Bailey. A host of nieces and other relatives.
