Obituary For Bonita Thomas

Mrs. Bonita Thomas,92, of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, October 17,2020. Surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Bonita Beatrice Stephens Thomas was born April 17, 1928 in Attalla Alabama, to the union of Pinkard Stephens and Lessie Dell Wilcher Stephens as an only child

She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Attala Al. she was an active member and she served on the Usher board.

She was educated in the Attalla, Alabama City and Monongahela Pa. School Systems. She was united in holy matrimony to Howard Thomas. To this union six children were born.

Her last employment was with Bobbie Brooks INC. where she served as Union Stewart and Champion the rights of fellow employees for years.

She was an avid fisherwoman. She was a “people person” and enjoyed her family and friends

Bonita leaves to cherish her memories are three sons, Howard (Denise) Thomas, Gadsden AL. Walter Thomas, Chicago IL. Zatchery (Brenda) Thomas Chicago IL, Three daughters, Theresa Thomas Hill, Gadsden AL, Phyllis Ledford, Douglasville, Ga, Wanda Chatman, Collinsville, AL 11 Grandchildren, 16 great- children 4 great- great grandchildren.

Public Viewing will start 11A.M until time of services with the service starting at 12 Noon Thursday October 22,2020 West Gadsden Funeral Home 2118 Forrest Avenue Gadsden, Al. 35954 Officiating Reverend Harold Kimble

Due to COVID-19, masks are required at both public visitations and the funeral service.
