Tommie " BEDA" Taylor was born July 11, 1953 to the late Tommie Taylor Jr and Marion Cox Taylor in Memphis, TN. He was born the second of seven children raised in a fun and loving environment. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Magnolia First Baptist Church. He attended Memphis City Schools graduating from Melrose High School in 1971. Tommie had a great love for playing baseball in his school years, with intentions of becoming a professional player. Upon graduating, he felt the need to engage in a meaningful journey and decided to enlist in the United States Navy. After graduating from the Naval Academy in Millington, TN he was transferred to Port Hueneme Naval Base in Ventura, CA. He served his country to the fullest and was a proud Navy man. Tommie worked at Bell South/AT&T, retiring after 20 years of loyal and dedicated service as a lineman Tommie was joined in holy matrimony to the late Pamela Anita Taylor for over 30 years. He was a connoiseur of his famous long simmering spaghetti and loved sharing with family and friends. He was also a crossword puzzle whix. Tommie leaves to cherish his memory, five loving children, Kathryn " Penny Taylor (Vichelle) of Chicago, IL, Kelly Taylor, Kelvin Taylor (Sharrilyn), JArvis and Armaad Raiford (Sandra) of Memphis, TN; three step children, Tiffnay, Candious and Antony; Two sisters, Brenda (BookerT) Holloway, Carolyn Ann Taylor; two brothers, Joseph Taylor and Allen (Barbara) Taylor of Shreveport, LA; a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends of whom he loved dearly. Tommie was preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney Taylor Sr and Claude Anthony Cox
