Prayers for all her friends and family. I would see her in passing as we would get grocery from the local food banks. A kind and helpful spirit indeed she had. May God bless.

In the midst of life, we are in death; of Who may we seek for comfort, but of Thee, O Lord! I have so many precious and fond memories of Jackie and her parents and one that really sticks with me is that, when the enemy tried to conquer the congregation of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. Brodie I. Johnson, it was the home of Deacon and Mrs. Davis, that Greater New Birth Missionary Baptist Church was organized with Dr. Brodie I. Johnson. Not only was our church established in the Davis home, but Deacon and Mrs. Davis took me as a son, and many Sunday dinners and times were shared in that home. Jackie was a beautiful person with such a warm and loving personality. She loved God, family, friends and even those who may not have loved her, she loved unconditionally. As Minister of Music of Ebenezer/Greater New Birth, I can say without shame, but with authority, she was one choir member that never gave me any trouble. She was faithful and always encouraging me. To her family, I admonish you to trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not lean unto your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths! I Love You All, Augustus C. Cofield, Jr. Weldon, North Carolina Former Minister of Music, Ebenezer/Greater New Birth (1981-1986)
