Obituary For Charlene B. Nesbitt

Charlene Nesbitt was born on November 3, 1952 to the late James Russell Hurt and late Ella B. Nesbitt. Charlene affectionately known as “Baby Sister” was the third of twelve children born to Ella B. Nesbitt. Charlene was known to heat up a kitchen. If you ever had a chance to eat a meal she cooked, then you would understand the phrase “these greens so good they make you wanna slap yo’ momma.” You had her in mind and had eaten her collards greens. She was educated in Greene County School System. She held several jobs in her life which involved her cooking although her first job was her family who she loved dearly. She has fed and cooked for many people including family and friends. Cooking was her passion and it brought purpose and pleasure to her. If she was not on the stove, over the grill or teaching someone how to cook then things were not well. Charlene transitioned from earth to eternity on September 1, 2020. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and many others. Charlene was preceded in death by three brothers William, Jamie, and Johnny and one sister Edna. Charlene leaves to cherish her memories to 16 children: Carla L. Jackson, Frederick D. Nesbitt, Taffy T. Nesbitt, Vernetta L. Nesbitt, Maurice L. Brown, Chandra Y. Nesbitt, Charlie P.
