Mrs. Eunice Harris Andrews

Mrs. Eunice “Stein” Harris Andrews was born to the late Nellie B. Campbell-Harris and the late DeArthur Harris, Sr., on August 30, 1949, in Thomaston, Georgia. She received her formal education in the Upson County School System, graduating from the Drake High School, Class of 1967. She furthered her education in childcare at Southern Crescent-Flint River Campus in Thomaston, GA. Eunice accepted Christ as her savior at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Yatesville, Georgia, at an early age. She was a loving, dedicated, and faithful servant in her church home. Over the years, Eunice served the Lord and her church family in many ways, including her roles as Secretary and a loyal choir member. In her leisure time, she enjoyed her being with her family, sewing, and baking. She worked in textiles at Thomaston Mills for thirty-two years and later retired from West Village Retirement Center as a cook in 2012. On Friday, August 21, 2020, Mrs. Eunice Stein Andrews left her earthly home to reap her heavenly reward. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Curtis Harris, Totice Atwater (Totsy), and DeArthur Harris, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Carlos A. Andrews of Yatesville, GA and Michael D. Andrews (Jeneen) of Hampton, GA; three grandchildren, Juaniesha Warthen, Carlos M. Andrews, and Alonzo King; four siblings, Ella Mae Carter and Cathigene Harris both of Thomaston, GA, Rev. Tony Atwater (Minister Leisa) of Culloden, GA, and Lonnie Atwater of Thomaston, GA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and devoted friends who will surely miss her sweet and loving spirit.
