Obituary For Jessie Mae Arnold

Mrs. Jessie Williams Arnold, 74 Mrs. Jessie Mae Williams Arnold was born to the late Jesse and Eddie Mae Williams on July 16, 1942 in Nankin, Georgia. She married the love her of her life Earnest Arnold in 1958 and moved to Quitman, Georgia. For 26 years, their union was blessed with God’s greatest gifts, five children. One son, Bobby Charles Arnold preceded her in death. At an early age, she attended St. Phillips Baptist Church. Later in life, her aunt Annie Lizarrette James Dixon encouraged her to keep the Christian Family legacy going and she joined Bethel A.M. E. Church. She was a faithful member and was on the Stewardess Board, The Sara Allen Missionary Women Society and the Gospel Choir. She was employed at an early age with Mrs. Nancy Schmoe of Black Water Plantation for many years before becoming a CNA and dietician at the Presbyterian Home for 32 years before becoming ill. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories; her daughter Gail Arnold Brinson; granddaughter whom she raised Latavius Brooks (Albert), Quitman, GA; three sons, Earnest Arnold, Jr., James Edward Arnold, Casey Jerome Arnold (Gwendolyn), Quitman, GA; stepchildren, Keisha and April, Valdosta, GA and Tammy and Howard, Atlanta, GA, Angela Reed Davis, Quitman, GA; two sisters, Gladys Hooks, Valdosta, GA, Dorothy Collier, Sarasota, FL; loving grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Sunday, December 4, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the House of Deliverance and Restoration Church in Quitman with Pastor Darrell Barron officiating.
