Obituary For Jerry Freeman, Sr.

Obituary Jerry Freeman Sr. departed this life on Wednesday July 9, 2014 Jerry was born to Arvella Jackson and the late Willie Freeman. He received his education at Pineville City School. He was employed at Valdosta State University until his retirement. After accepting Christ as his personal savior, He joined New Life Ministries where he served faithfully until his death. He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life and best friend Lillie P. Freeman on February 6th, 1965. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Willie Freeman, one Sister Laverne Hayes, and two daughters. Valeria freeman and Linda Whitfield. He leaves to cherish his memories his most precious and devoted wife, Lillie Pearl Freeman Mother Arvella Jackson, Valdosta GA Five sons, Jerry Freeman jr. (Kasumi) Honolulu Hi, Anthony Freeman (Melanie) Virginia Beach, Virginia Chris Godfrey (Kathy) Hahira GA, Jason Freeman (Tracie) Terrance Freeman (Nicole) all of Valdosta GA Two Daughters, Sonya Greene (Mark) St. Petersburg FL Rhonda Bailey (Gerald) Valdosta, GA Seven sisters, Bernistine Jackson, Iristine Stewart (George) Mary Lenard, Martha Gresham, Charlene Melvin, Shontina Tyler and Teresa Freeman Birdsong all of Valdosta,GA Six Brothers, Grady Jackson (Hannah), Pastor Tony Jackson (Linnis) Darren Jackson, Derrick Jackson (Kim) Russell Jackson (Calandra) and Buddy Freeman all of Valdosta, GA Two sister-n- laws Betty Alexander (Shun) and Fannie Forde three Brother-n- laws; Lawrence Tillman (Altmese) John Tillman (Jennie) and Carlton Tillman (Cheryl) Special Friends Mr. Joe Henry Sr. and Elder Leon Henderson He has 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of niece’s nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and sorrowing friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at New Life Ministries at 1 PM with Pastor Braswell, officiating. Burial will be followed in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
