Grandma, it's me. Your baby, your granddaughter Ashley. It pains me to write this but I know you're in a better place. You lived an amazing life. I'll honestly will say that my best attributes and characteristics came from you. You will forever be my everything. I'm so happy that I made you proud of me when I got my degree then later became a nurse. I'll remember the time we stay up all watching "Walker" or sewing decorative cloth around pillows. I use to love cutting collard greens with you or making the dressing, potato salad and sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving dinner. I remember when I cooked breakfast for the whole family because I learned from you. I was always up under you like glue. You were my safe place and my security. Aww man I could go on and on, from when I use to call "fatback" meat on a stick or beef patties "fried meatloaf" because you added the onions and gravy to it. It breaks my heart you left us, but I know it was time. Your God was calling you home and your best friend Uncle Jr was waiting on you. I love everything about you Grandma, you weren't ever afraid to speak your mind and you let everyone know the honest truth. I'm gonna miss you. I'm forever a grandma's baby. Rest in Paradise my Sweet Angel! Love you forever and ever and then some Love your granddaughter, -Ashley

My heart goes out to Uncle Lewis and the family Aunt Arlie has always been our favorite auntie. I use to stay spending the night at her house with my cousin Doris I miss those days. Auntie always cooking something when you come over. My mother loved this lady now they can sit down and talk about back in the day. I know her brother will be right there, my daughter will be there as well. Doris, Jr, and the other brothers I love y'all. God bless you and your family. Ellen Mae Burley and Family
