Willie C. “WC” Boatwright was born on April 9, 1947 in Dillon County, South Carolina to the late William Henry and Esther Mae Boatwright. WC departed this earthly home to glory on Monday, June 1, 2020 surrounded by his family.
WC worked at Anvil Knitwear, Inc. until he retired in 2009 after forty years of service. He was a faithful member of the Masonic Lodge #354 where he held the past position of Worshipful Master.
WC was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
Preceding WC in death along with her parents; a daughter: Vonda L. Boatwright; five brothers and one sister.
WC leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife: Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Boatwright of the home; seven daughters: Marie Graves of High Point, NC, Marilyn (Johnnie) Myers of Little Rock, SC, Debra Cain of Matthews, NC, Joyce (Michael) Madison of Fort Lee, VA, Wanda Boatwright of the home, Rhonda Edwards of El Paso, TX, Brandy (Darrick) Murray of Bellevue, Nebraska; four sons: Eric (Pamela) Davis of Raleigh, NC, Brian (Rita) Graham of Yuma, AZ, Will Boatwright of Dillon, SC, Durell Graham of Kaiserlautern, Germany; Dianna Ellison Deloach and Ronald Ellison whom he helped reared as his own; a sister: Eva Bethea of Wilson, NC; his in-laws: Charlene Boatwright of Baltimore, MD, Cora Boatwright, Barbara Bethea, Shirley (Artis) Nicholson, James “Lee” Bethea, John (Ida) Bethea all of High Point, NC; sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
