Obituary For Mr. Alonza Wright

Alonza Lee Wright was born in Dillon County, South Carolina on March 7, 1978 to Barbara Ann Wright and Sammi Lee Mitchell. He departed this earthly life at an early age on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at his residence.

He attended the Dillon County Public Schools, Dillon, South Carolina.

Alonza attended St. Matthew AME Church in Hamer, South Carolina at an early age.

His favorite football team was the Redskins. Alonza worked at Little Bill’s Convenience Store for several years, Perdue Farms for three years, and Harbor Freight Tools for eight years.

Alonza was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joanna Brown of Rowland, NC, John Lee Mitchell of Winston Salem, NC and Ollie Mae Wright of Dillon, SC, his aunt: Cynthia Wright; a cousin: Jeffrey Wright.

Alonza leaves to cherish his loving memories ~ his parents: Sammie Lee Mitchell of Laurinburg, NC and Barbara Ann Wright, Lorence “Coolaide” Bethea both of Dillon, SC; a special friend of twenty-three years Denena Hayes of Dillon, SC; two sons: Alonza Lee Wright Jr. of Conway, SC, Amarion Devon Wright of Dillon, SC; two daughters: Zrai’Queisha Mercedes Wright and MaKayla Shaniya Wright both of Dillon, SC; two children that he reared as his own: Montrecia Hayes and Devonta Wheeler; sisters: Mae Ella Floyd of Winston Salem, NC, Demetris Wright of Columbia, SC, Teneshia (Roy) Campbell of Dillon, SC, Tamieka (Keylontoe) Gerald of Laurel Hill, NC, Michelle Blount of Austin, TX; brothers: Jeremy Wright, Brandon Wright both of Dillon, SC, Chris Blue of Lake View, SC, Kalvin (Quanesha) McCall of Fayetteville, NC, Nicholas Mitchell of Dillon, SC; grandchild: Aries Wright; special friend: Betty Hayes, Willie “Chill” McLellan and Andrew “Porkchop” Bethea and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
