Obituary For Grace Woolf

Grace Norene Woolf, 88, passed away at her home in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico on March 24, 2016. She was born in Gardner, Colorado on July 4, 1927 to Richard and Roxie (Sawyer) Huffman. Grace was a resident here for the past 80 years, and a long-time business owner, including the Pine Knot Saloon at which she bartended herself in the 1940-50’s; she also owned feed stores and motels here in Sierra County and worked as a Scrub Tech at Carrie Tingley Hospital in her younger years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, leather-working and cooking. She is survived by her children- Ronnie Woolf and Claudia; Fred Woolf and Karen; Bruce Woolf and Connie; by her grandchildren – Maeci Woolf; Traci Woolf; Russell Woolf and Melissa; Tara Woolf; Justin Woolf; Shanda Woolf; Amber Woolf and Josh Woolf. Also by her sister, Fern James and brother, Kenneth Huffman. She is preceded in death by her husband, R. C. Woolf; daughter, Linda Woolf; brothers – Robert Huffman and Leslie Huffman; and parents, Richard and Roxie Huffman. Private services were held at the Family Cemetery on March 25, 2016.
