Detta Conyers, 46, died Saturday, April 18, 2020 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC. She was born October 5, 1973 in Manning, SC, a daughter of the late Neller Conyers and Josie Anna King Conyers. A brother, Robert Lee Conyers, preceded her in death.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Clarendon District Two and graduated from Manning High School in 1993.
In her youth, she joined Wilson Grove United American Freewill Baptist Church in the Wilson section of Clarendon County.
Detta was a loving mother, sister, aunt and a friend.
On Saturday, April 18, 2020, God called the name of Detta Conyers and she answered her call from the Heavenly Father at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories a devoted son, Dontavis R. Conyers, Manning, SC; two loving daughters, Keonta S. Conyers and Pralye T. Conyers both of the home; seven sisters: Nancy Marclien, Baltimore, MD, Doniree Conyers, Lucille Conyers, Edith Dukes, Ethel Samuel and Donyell Conyers all of Manning, SC and Mashell Conyers of Florence, SC; five brothers: Anthony (Debbie) Conyers, Jordan, SC, Joseph Conyers, Neller Conyers, Jr., Marshall Conyers, all of Manning, SC and Phillip (Tawanda) Conyers of Columbia, SC; four aunts, Janie King of Bronx, NY, Lillie Smiling, Ruby King and Dorothy Robinson all of Manning, SC; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Conyers of Lanes, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Grave side servies for Ms. Conyers will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Muldrow Cemetery, Highway 261 East, Manning, SC. Elder Louis Hilton, Jr., Pastor, Wilson Grove UAFW Baptist Church, officiating.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her sister, Donna Conyers, 1948 Paddock Road, Manning, SC.
