Obituary For Lynn Franklin, Sr.

EUNICE – A private graveside service for IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Community Cemetery in DeQuincy, LA for Mr. Lynn Franklin, Sr., 95, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Oak Lane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Pastor Johnathan Williams will officiate the service.

Mr. Franklin leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Eloise Franklin of Eunice, LA; one son, Pastor Johnathan Williams (Kimberly) of Beaumont, TX; two daughters, Joyce Williams of Houston, TX and Sharon Barrett of Eunice, LA; one sister, Lizzy Mae Landry of Morgan City; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Wilson Franklin, Sr.; two sons, Lynn Franklin, Jr. and Ezell Woods; four brothers, Ezekiel Franklin, Edward Franklin, Henry Joseph Franklin, and Allen Franklin; one sister, Leola Graham; one grandson, Joshua Lynn Williams; and one great granddaughter, Jasmine Wood.

The family would like to special acknowledge Oak Lane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center.

“There’s a bridge beyond the sunset that crosses the last divide to eternal rest and happiness found on the other side. When comes the call for crossing as twilight time falls still, there is no fear of passage – because it is God’s Will.”

I am heartbroken to here of your loss. My mother was Viola Wilson Taylor, Pa's 1st cousin on his mom's side. He was a winderful human being and always nade laugh at family reunions. He will be missed.
