OBITUARY:

Chester Davis Henry was born August 30,1949 to Matt Redmond & Caroline Henry. Preceding him death were his parents, one brother: Sidney Williams, and four sisters: Marie Birdlong, Lucy Turner, Elizabeth Lucus, & Evelyn Williams. He confessed his hope in Christ early in life at Jones Chapel. He later united with Durant Baptist Church.

Known to many of his friends as " Buddy" Chester was a unique individual with a distinct and independent approach to life. At the age of 17, he moved to Sarasota, FL and returned to Mississippi in 2013. A skilled avid fisherman, Chester spent the majority of his day enjoying the calm and tranquil beauty of the lake. His care and concern for his family, friends, and those who came in contact with him was rivaled only by his love for Christ.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters: Mattie Porter, Lexington, MS; Linda Carridine, Itta Bena, MS; Sylvia Garner, Dallas, TX; one brother, Sammie Patterson, Milwaukee,WI, the Town of Thornton, MS (his 2nd family) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
