Ms. Tameka Monette Knotts Freeman entered into eternity on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at High Point Medical Center. She was born in Cabarrus County, NC on January 30, 1972 to the late Belinda Godfrey and Paul Luckey.
Tameka was a loving, kindhearted, caring and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. She was loved by many who knew her because of her loving personality and unforgettable smile. Tameka loved spending time with her loved ones especially her grandchildren. She had love for everyone and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Xavier Luckey; parents, Belinda Godfred and Paul Luckey; her maternal grandparents, Mytrolene Godfrey and James Ruffin and paternal grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Dominick Miller (Alex) of Conover, NC, Trenice Miller (Ty’Darius) and Arlexis Nichols (Adam) both of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren, Kaliyah, TaAliyah, Tevin, Jr., Karter, Skylar, Rylee, Omunique, Jasiah, Autumn, Omari and Xavier; brother, Paul Robert Turner of High Point, NC; sisters, Africa Godfrey of High Point, Paula Sherrill of China Grove, NC and Gail Luckey-McGill (Melvin) of Charlotte, NC; special friend, Eric Silver; good friends, Patricia Skipper (Kendrick), Michelle Morrison and Trina Morrison; godmother, Vivian Morrison and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A service was held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Freedom Tabernacle Family Worship Center in Lexington, NC.
