To the Spratling family and friends our senscere and deepest condolences for your loss. I have pleasant memories of Melvin from our church services and occasional meeting at a mutual mechanic's friends house. Melvin was committed to his church family and any church he may visit with selfless service. I would frequently tell him "I thought you loved me" when he would pass out greetings candy during his usher service. He always greeted everyone with a smile and warm sentiment. I and others should take Melvin's example on how to treat your fellow brothers and sisters every chance you get. Melvin's memory will stay close to my heart. To a great example of human kindness...Melvin Spratling...R.I.P until we meet again.
