Mrs. Dorothy (Clayton) Pierre was the youngest daughter of the late Robert R. and Mary Clayton. Mrs. Dorothy Pierre was a feisty lady who enjoyed singing and sewing, who felt that there was not too many things that she couldn’t make. She also enjoyed crocheting and gardening and didn’t like anyone in her business. She was often called secretive, but she would say that it just wasn’t anyone’s business of what she was doing. Mrs. Dorothy Pierre will be truly missed by those who knew her and loved her. Dorothy Pierre was baptized in the name Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost here at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church over 35 years ago. Proceeding her in death is her father and mother and her brother Benny Clayton. Dorothy leaves to cherish her, five children: Sherra Holmes, Frank (Jackie) Holmes, Delores (Rasheid) Shakir, Elliott (Yolanda) Holmes and Eddie Holmes; four sisters: Robbie Dickerson, Willie Mae Clayton, Ruby Ragland and Beatrice McDonald; two brothers: John Clayton and Jimmy (Shirley) Clayton; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
