Bernice attended the Public Schools of Dillon County, South Carolina. At an early age she attended Shiloh United Methodist Church. She was employed at South of the Border for many years. In her later career she relocated to High Point, North Carolina where she joined Living Waters Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Thomas White. In High Point, she was employed by Vita Foam for many years. Upon returning to Dillon, South Carolina she rejoined Manning Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Rev. Franklin and Bernice Williamson; four brothers: John C, Macio “Major”, Robert, Joseph “Lil Joe” and a sister: Anna “Punk.”
Bernice leaves to cherish her memories ~ her loving children: three sons: Samuel (Brenda) Williamson of High Point, NC, Gregory (Darhonda) Williamson and James McKinley; six grandchildren: Rashawn (Shenekia) Alford, Nadia Wright, Gerard Williamson of High Point, NC, Timothy Williamson, Akeem (Kiera) Johnson of Dillon, SC and Cherish Johnson; ten great grandchildren; three sisters: Minister Emma (William) David of Latta, SC, Florine (James) Cabbagestalk, Laura Williamson and Gloria Alford of Dillon, SC; one adopted brother: Bernard Williamson; two brothers: Franklin (Helen) Williamson II and Eddie (Gloria) Williamson; two sisters-n-law: Margaret Williamson and Elizabeth Williamson; one brother-n-law: Larry D. McRae; a special son: Bobby McRae and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
