Ms. Louise as she was affectionally called throughout the Carver Homes Community. A Pioneer for the entire community, a voice for the people of the community. A sweet lady loved by ALL of the Carver Homes Community. I had the opportunity to work the Louise Watley campaigns. I had the opportunity to work inside the Louise Watley Community Store that was there in the Carver Homes Community, in the basement of one of the Carver Homes apartment buildings on Moury Ave. Ms. Louise would provide food, rides, clothing, love and support to the entire Carver Homes Community. I can remember the white FORD van that she had that she would ride us in doing campaign time. Even as an entrepreneur as she ran her Community store, it wasn't about having the money to pay, because if you didn't have money to buy whatever it was, Ms. Louise would allow you to get it and pay her later. This lady is a legend in the City of Atlanta and the Carver Homes Community. She will be missed. We say thank you Ms. Louise for speaking up on the behalf of the community of Carver Homes. Thank you for ALL that you done for the City of Atlanta and the Carver Homes Community. SEE YOU IN THE MORNING' Vivian and her Brother Dexter Dixon

Louise is one of whom legends are made of.iIn 1973 I witnessed a Louise engineered 2 month City wide rent strike that led to the restructuring of the Atlanta Housing Authority Board and staff replacement which improved the living conditions for all Housing residents. Long live the Fiery Organizing spirit that passed Through Louise Watley.Sister used God’s gift exceedingly well.

To the Watley Family: Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Hold tight to those memories...Lean on each other for support...And trust in Jehovah God for the strength to endure. Psalm 46:1 assures us that "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress." My condolences, S. Acker.
